Last week, the ARHA Foundation (ARHAF) partnered with the Auburn College of Human Sciences to host a private ProStart culinary workshop at the renowned Rane Center. The workshop focused on the "Life Cycle of Food" including procurement, preparation, cooking and eating. Dr. Martin O'Neill, department head, along with several instructors educated the students on sustainability, composting, international cuisine, horticulture, baking, and advanced culinary techniques. ARHA sponsored the top culinary teams from the 2023 Alabama ProStart Student Invitational to attend the three-day workshop. The students were able to experience a top-notch hospitality college program and also enjoyed a stay at The Hotel at Auburn University.
